Chicken Prosciutto Pasta

I believe this is the best dish I have ever had, it hits all the senses and just makes you happy. I had it today and it was just luscious. The moment the chicken and pasta coupled with the corn,crab and cream hits your mouth you are just in heaven. It just does it for me and I am so glad and thankful during this trying time that we can still get wonderful food. Thank You

Crabmeat Stuffed Catfish

Honestly I myself can't even come close to describing the phenomenal flavors that melt in your mouth all at the same time. This dish is my favorite one, the key is to get a little bit of everything in one bite for the right experience.. the freshness of this plate delicious just delicious.. my hat is off to the chief!!

We had the ribeye dinner cooked to perfection. The potatoes were a different twist but had our taste buds happy! Amd as always, the cajun eggrolls were a delight!

My husband and I loved our experience at Gabe's! The servers are attentive and helpful. We enjoyed all parts of our meal. From the Cajun Egg Rolls to the Catfish and Grits, everything was cooked to perfection. The white chocolate bread pudding is the most amazing dessert I have ever had! It's just the right consistency and it's packed with flavor. The perfect ending to a fabulous meal!

Chicken Prosciutto Pasta

The pasta is so good. You get a very large portion and the cream sauce base is phenomenal. My husband and I have had a lot of different menu items and I can honestly say that they are All so good. From the Cajun Eggrolls to the Chef Specials, we haven't had a bad meal. Gabes is our favorite restaurant.

I absolutely loved my Atlantic Salmon dish! The sweetness butternut squash gnocchi paired so well with the acidity of the balsamic carriage and lemon buerre blanc sauce. Definitely one of my go to's for lunch

Gabe's makes shrimp and grits like no one else. Masterfully done, full of savory flavors and topped with balsamic reduction and beurre blanc. I loved his original recipe with fried shrimp, too, and the chef will make it that way if you ask.

Quiche Du Jour (quiche of The Day)

Gabe's is my favorite local restaurant, so I had been meaning to try out the Saturday brunch for the longest time. When my husband and I finally went about a month ago, I decided to try the featured quiche. When it arrived at the table, I thought I had the wrong order because it didn't look like the typical slice of eggy pie. The server assured me that this mass of flakey, phyllo-type crust puddled with quichey ingredients was, in fact, the quiche. One bite, and oh my goodness, where have you been all my life?! It was the most tender, flakey, but gooey luscious thing I have ever put in my mouth. It's really nothing like quiche (very little egg) and it deserves a new name as a totally unique creation! Like so many of Gabe's signature dishes, it was drizzled with balsamic reduction and beurre blanc. I've been back for more and am obsessing about eating it between Saturdays.

Gabe's never disappoints! The ribeye is always cooked perfectly and is full of flavor. It presents beautifully with our favorite sweet potato mash. The portion sizes always ensure you have left overs for the next day and we love that about this place. We have been dining here at least ten years and have celebrated many special occasions at Gabe's.

Seafood Etouffee

This is my by far favorite dish. I rarely get to dine in due to my work schedule but that does not stop me from ordering this dish on a weekly basis. Its full of flavor and they give you a huge portion. Although its made fresh daily, if you let it sit overnight, its even better!!!

Hands down the best Shrimp and Grits I've ever had! Didn't expect such excellent Cajun cuisine in Georgia, but it made sense once we learned the chef is from Baton Rouge! We picked this place at random while traveling and so glad we did. Will definitely be back next time we're in the Atlanta area.

Maple Leaf Duck Breast

The presentation of this meal is absolutely beautiful, but it in no way prepares you for the burst of flavors you'll taste when you take your first bite. After ordering the duck per chefs recommendation, the duck was medium-a bright red and warm center-moist and absolutely decadent. Not only was the meat prepared to perfection, it was glazed with the most heavenly sauce-a sauce that is rich while notes of fig and maple dance across your taste buds. This meal only got better as it was served over garlic mashed potatoes-the potatoes were not only smooth but bursting with garlic and butter. The other side that came along with this meal was seasonal vegetables-carrots, squash, zucchini-all prepared to perfection with a crunch but also tender enough to compliment this delicious meal. Chef Gabe and his team never disappoints

Chicken Victoria

When I read the description of this dish, my initial thought was "this sounds good." Good was an UNDERSTATEMENT! Everything about this dish was amazing! From the waitress' enthusiasm in describing it, to the presentation, and finally the taste! I had to force myself to put down my fork. The chicken breast was moist and flavorful, while the shrimp risotto cakes were slightly crisp but just right on the inside. The green beans were an added treat! I don't know if I'll be able to NOT order this dish every time I visit Gabe's, which will be frequently!

Stuffed Quail

I am in love with Gabe's Downtown. My former high school students (now wives, mothers and successful professionals), invited me to the Bistro last year. I was over-the-moon smitten with the shrimp and grits and thought I would order this delectable dish over and over again. Yet, Alas! When we revisited Gabe's for my birthday on February 1, 2020, our knowledgeable and delightful server introduced me to the magnificent wonders of the stuffed quail entree! Can we just say, "Heaven on a Plate!" What a culinary stroke of genius! The distinct and unique flavors were beautifully concocted and expertly plated. From the perfectly seasoned quail stuffed with sausage and bacon, to the crispy, roasted Brussel sprout leaves dancing ceremoniously atop a celestial mound of mashed sweet potatoes — every bite proved to be a welcomed celebration! Every Georgian, every visitor, every foodie, every madly in love couple (and those who aren't — this place will fix your deepest problems) must experience Gabe's Downtown Louisiana Bistro. I am returning tomorrow on Saturday. I know I will not be disappointed. Enjoy!
