I am in love with Gabe's Downtown. My former high school students (now wives, mothers and successful professionals), invited me to the Bistro last year. I was over-the-moon smitten with the shrimp and grits and thought I would order this delectable dish over and over again.
Yet, Alas! When we revisited Gabe's for my birthday on February 1, 2020, our knowledgeable and delightful server introduced me to the magnificent wonders of the stuffed quail entree!
Can we just say, "Heaven on a Plate!" What a culinary stroke of genius! The distinct and unique flavors were beautifully concocted and expertly plated. From the perfectly seasoned quail stuffed with sausage and bacon, to the crispy, roasted Brussel sprout leaves dancing ceremoniously atop a celestial mound of mashed sweet potatoes — every bite proved to be a welcomed celebration!
Every Georgian, every visitor, every foodie, every madly in love couple (and those who aren't — this place will fix your deepest problems) must experience Gabe's Downtown Louisiana Bistro.
I am returning tomorrow on Saturday. I know I will not be disappointed. Enjoy!
